Dear Community,
First of all thank you for porting EasyBook to J! 1.5.x and of course for making it free as in a word freedom!
I've found EasyBook as one of my favourite components in J! 1.5.x, so I decided to translate it into my native language (Polish). Translation is attached to this message. By the way I've noticed a bug in language files. In each language file on lines 36 and 37 string 'MAX' should be exchanged with 'MAXIMUM'. If it is not exchanged then text strings starting with MAX are not translated by engine at all:
36 : MAX -> MAXIMUM
37 : MAX -> MAXIMUM
I've fixed this bug only for Polish translation (see attached file).
To test suitability of my translation I've reinstalled EasyBook several times. Unfortunately there is a problem which I personally consider as a big unconvenience. When I prepare a link from menu to Easy Book component:
Link: index.php?option=com_easybook&view=easybook
a button 'sign guestbook' is not visible. The other problem is Error 404, no copmonent found, if I tinker a little bit with menu settings. So I can not add any new entry to my guestbook. I've taken a look into this forum.
The potentially useful thread I've found:
http://forum.easy-joomla....ndex.php/topic,577.0.html
Unfortunately my knowledge of German is far too little to understand correctly what people are saying in this thread. Can someone please shed some light on it and translate it into English, please?
I have two instances of J! 1.5.8: one for testing purposes and one set in Internet. Now as I've translated your component I would like to painlessly upgrade my internet web site by making the following steps:
a. uninstalling EasyBook,
b. installation of EasyBook with added translation to Polish.
Is it possible to do it without mentioned problem? Will I loose already gathered entries?
If I can recommend smth, please get rid of this issue. It should be possible to reinstall your great component without any hassle.
Kind regards,
Maciej (mslonik)
