Hi I noticed that if i don't enable the Spamfix image on the first go, and afterwards if I enable it, the Spamfix image is not displayed.

Tried to uninstall it, and install it again still the Spamfix is not displayed.

Even on a new Joomla install i enable it and if i subsequently disable Spamfix and enable it again, the Spamfix image is not displayed.

Please help, my guestbook is getting spammed and i need Spamfix.

Your server returns an Error 500 (Internal Server Error) when generating the captcha image. Have you enabled the GD library (with freetype support) in your php installation? Maybe you should contact your hoster and ask whether GD library is enabled or not.

Gleiches gilt auch für dich: Ich vermute, dass die GD Library in PHP fehlt. Kontaktiere mal deinen Hoster.

GD should/must be enabled as when I first installed EasyBook and enabled the spamfix, the image displayed. It is when I switched it off and on again that it stopped displaying.

Also if I setup a Joomla install on the same server as a subdomain, and EasyBook the spamfix image is displayed. I have tested this several times on different subdomains.

So it is something else that is causing the problems. The result is the same for Joomla 1.0.10 and 1.0.12

I have the same Problem as well.

i had the same problem gd library was enabled and freetype also . found a fix for that in another forum .

u have to change the permissions for folders and files to a minimum of 755 or folders 644 and files 755 then it will work. well it works for me.

i have had the filepermisson on 777 .

I tired it by setting all the files and folders in EasyBook component to 777, but still the spamfix image is not displayed :(

Genau das gleiche Problem!!! Hat überhaupt nichts mit GD zu tuhen. Das ist eingeschaltet (Version 2.0.28 mit Freetype 1.3). Genau wie die anderen hier, hat es 1 mal funktioniert, danach niemals mer. Wenns 1x funzt, dann solls halt auch 2, oder 3 oder unzählbare male funktionieren! Wenn ich den hintergrund auf #FFFFFF und die lines, und spamfix-code als #000000 zeigen las, dan bekommen ich ein unlesbares Gelbes Captcha-image zu sehen. Die CHMOD wie hier oben beschrieben hat auch gar kein zweck. Alle andere Modules funktionieren einwandfei mit dieser GD-version, mein Provider will GD nicht updaten... also... Könntet ihr da bitte mal reinschauen und ein fix herstellen? Am sonsten ein perfektes Gästebuch-module! Dankeschön schon mal!

Und bei mir ist es leider aus so.
Ich bekomme bei Eingabe von Hexcode 000000 bei der Spamfixfarbe immer Gelb zu sehen.
Andere Farben zeigt er gar nicht an.
Ich habe eine Datenbank in der User etwas eingtragen können,die arbeitet auch mit einem Captcha Bild,diese funktioniert einwandfrei.

Also liegt es nicht an der GD Library.Diese ist aktuell und vorhanden.

Das Gästebuch ist wirklich klasse und ich möchte es nicht missen,leider werde ich derzeit extrem zugespammt, so dass ich das GB abschalten musste.
Der Code sollte zu dem besser lesbar sein,selbst hier auf der Demoseite ist er nur schwer zu erkennen.
Und Sinn eines Captcha Bildes sollte nicht sein auch diejenigen am Eintragen zu hindern die dies freundlicherweise tun möchten.
Sollte es keine Möglichkeit geben dies zu fixen,muss ich mich leider schwerenherzens von Eurem GB trennen.

schaut auch mal bitte auf www.joomlaportal.de nach dem Problem, hatten dort auch schon einige.
Wir ändern das bei der nächsten Version.. aber das dauert noch etwas, bitte keine Fragen wann...  ;D
