SQL queries insertion in XML file

Hello,

First of all, thank you very much for this extension, it helps a lot in quickly developing Joomla extensions.

There is one thing I don't know how to do with Easy Creator. This is probably because this is not a feature implemented in Easy Creator.

I would like to process SQL queries while installing or uninstalling a component. For that purpose these SQL queries must be inserted in the XML file of the install package. But Easy Creator seems to not allow such SQL insertions. Do I have to insert them after having packaged the extension? Is it a feature you plan to implement?

Hello Patrice and welcome to the forum,
thanks for pointing this out. You have just discovered a 'hidden feature' in EasyCreator.
It is hidden because of the fact that it is somewhat 'untested'
So her's the deal:
I tell you how to access it and you report back with some success / failure note - OK ? 

Inside the folder
/administrator/components/com_yourcomponent
create a folder named  sql
inside that folder put your sql files named
install.yourcomponent.sql
and (optional)
uninstall.yourcomponent.sql

That should be all - on packing your extension the xml file will be created and should include your sql files in the apropiate section.

Thank you, your solution works perfectly! SQL queries are taken into account in installing the component as well as uninstalling it. It's time to add this feature in the next release!
