How to add smilies - Guide!

This is a small guide to how to add smilies in the comment area that only admin can use and not the regular user!

You can add extra smilies to the "add entry" page as well!!

Let me know if it does´nt work or if i have missed anything!!

I have done this with Easybook 2.0rc4, Joomla 1.5.9 updated to 1.5.10.

I like what you have done! I read through your guide and it's easy to implement. But I have a question...

Could your code also be used to show different images for members? I have a guestbook for which I want guests to have the normal smilies and logged in users to be able to use more smilies? Is this doable?

I think it is possible. I have a little idea on how to do that.

I am quiet new to programing and PHP but I understand the basics. The guide I have done is a work of running through the code and understanding it with a "trial and error"-method.

Since the entrys can be invisible to users until admins have approved of it, it should be the same with everything in the guestbook....

The only problem I can see right now is that somehow the integration of userlevels must be done....

It is integrated in some way due to that you can choose a userlevel for adding entrys...

I´ll look into it and see if I find the logic, otherwise, some support from the makers of the guestbook maybe??? I think it is a little low on answers in the forum from the developers.....pity on such fine guestbook....
